WHERE TO PLACE THE FILES?
Sparks.scene - Place in your scenes directory.

WHAT IS THIS FILE FOR?
This is a sample scene file from the particle animation package that I have created for Lightwave 2.0 called MOVEMENT.
Load this file into lightwave 2.0 as a scene file and do with it what you want, but don't sell it for a profit unless you cut me into the deal.
The particles (if all goes well in your system) will have a realistic bounce.
I plan on releasing the MOVEMENT package as freeware sometime after February 1st. I have to wait until then, because someone else (Chris Minshall) is writing the workbench interface for me. I will also release the source code once I get enough time to write the docs for it. The BIG PICTURE behind all of this is to make a software package that will grow by itself. I have hundreds of ideas for more algorithms, but I don't have enough time to create all of them. I hope that I can spark (No pun intended) an interest in some of you to develop additional algorithms based on my code and ideas. I am giving the software away for free in attempt to give everyone the same tools and to help those who don't have any money (Like ME) : ).
Sparks is a sample from the first module to be released. Its main function is for the realistic launch of projectiles. Not only will it launch single point particles, but if you wanted it to launch a Cow, it could. It also includes the ability to simulate object material composition by controlling the objects bounce.
Sparks is also a "tease" to those of you out there that are waiting for MOVEMENTS release. It shows that it is not "vaporware".
STANDARD WORD OF CAUTION
Lightwave cannot load more that 150 objects at a time, this forces me to use the END BEHAVIOR of REPEAT to make a constant flow of particles. This causes a problem when MOTION BLUR is turned on under the CAMERA MENU. When a particle goes from its final resting place back to the launch position, this causes a long blur streak in some animations. I have not been able to get around this problem. So either don't loop the animation, or turn motion blur off.

Helping the best become even better. : )
P.S. A big THANKS to Mr. Hastings for creating Lightwave, a wonderful Animation Package.
A big (sarcastic) SHAME ON YOU to Mr. Hastings for creating software that has taken away any remnants of a social life that I once had. : )
